Shootr Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 7, 2026
Shootr ("we", "us") is an iOS app that provides AI-generated basketball coaching feedback on videos you submit. This policy describes what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account data. When you use Shootr, we create an account for you (currently an anonymous authenticated session; if you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier and, if you share it, your email). Your onboarding answers (skill level, goals, position, dominant hand) are stored with your profile.
- Videos you submit. Videos you record or upload for coaching are transmitted to and stored on our infrastructure (Cloudflare R2 object storage, Supabase database in the United States) under your account.
- Coaching results. The analysis of your video (detected moments, scores, feedback text) is stored with your account so you can review session history.
- Purchase data. Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat. We receive subscription status (entitlement, product, expiry) — never your payment details.
- Diagnostics. Basic app version and failure-reason data attached to analysis sessions for reliability. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
How videos are processed
To generate coaching feedback, your video is sent to Google's Gemini API for automated analysis. Provider-side copies used for analysis are deleted after each analysis completes. We do not use your videos to train models, and we do not sell or share your videos for advertising.
Data retention and deletion
Your videos, sessions, and profile persist until you delete them or your account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete Account, which removes your videos from storage, your profile, sessions, analysis results, and entitlement records. If deletion of stored videos fails, the operation is aborted rather than leaving orphaned data.
Sharing
We share data only with the processors named above (Apple, RevenueCat, Supabase, Cloudflare, Google Gemini) as needed to operate the service, and when required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Children
Shootr is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used Shootr, contact us and we will delete the account.
